Transcriptions

On this page, I'll be posting the transcriptions I make or have made for various projects—or simply out of interest. As far as possible, I have provided a link to the source, but, as is sadly often the case with field recordings, they may not be available online.

A note on “spatialised transcriptions”. This is a method of rhythmical notation that I developed over the course of 2020 and 2021, especially for the transcription of slow rubato music—for instance the slow parts of Weana Tanz. The process is detailed in a paper I gave at the symposium European Voices VI in 2021. A publication of the papers from the symposium is currently in progress.
