PROGRAMME NOTE

Yarn/Weave comprises three movements. It uses material derived from or directly quoted from Dideriksen’s quartet In Medias Res, written for the Hodiernal Quartet of which Alfian Aditya is the ’cellist. Each of the three movements weaves or spins the material twisting and displacing the original elements.

Yarn/Weave was composed in spring 2019 for the ’cellist Alfian Aditya to whom it is dedicated.
